Previously featured during the 2026 World Cup, Sure Sub is now available across selected domestic leagues, cups, and tournaments, including the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.

What Is Gamdom Sure Sub?
Gamdom Sure Sub is a unique football betting promotion that gives bettors a second bite of the cherry if their original player prop bets didn’t pay off.
Normally, a player prop bet depends entirely on the footballer you selected. Once that player leaves the pitch, the bet goes down the drain.
However, Sure Sub has changed the rules. Now, when a sub is made, the player who comes on continues the wager. This effectively gives punters a greater chance of picking a winner, but there is a trade-off.
You can only make your selections from markets under the ‘Sure Sub’ tab. These have slightly adjusted odds to compensate for this promotional feature.
How Does Gamdom Sure Sub Work?
Although placing a bet remains the same, only eligible markets appear under the dedicated Sure Sub menu tab. Here’s how it works:
- Open an eligible football match at Gamdom Sports.
- Select the Sure Sub tab.
- Choose a qualifying player market.
- Select your player and add the bet to your betslip.
- Place the wager before the match starts.
- If your player is substituted, their replacement inherits the selection.
- The replacement can then complete the required outcome.

After his brace against Crystal Palace, you fancy Rayan Cherki to score again this week against Coventry City, so you back the player @2.33 (European decimal) in the anytime goalscorer market.
After a quiet 60 minutes, Maresca decides to replace Cherki with new record signing Enzo Fernandez. Under the rules of a regular anytime goalscorer bet, your wager is now dead. Yet, it lives on with Sure Sub.
Just after coming on, Fernandez scores for Manchester City. Your wager wins, with a payout of 2.33x your stake.
Which Football Matches Have Gamdom Sure Sub?
Sure Sub bets are only available on major European domestic leagues, including the English Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, and LaLiga, as well as the UEFA Champions League and Europa League competitions.
Eligible Gamdom Sure Sub Markets
Market depth varies by match. We have found some matches with limited depth and others with a rich selection of markets, which includes:
- Player to Score (anytime)
- Player to Score or Assist (anytime)
- Player to be carded
- Player Shots on Target (1+, 2+, 3+, or 4+)
- Players Slots (2+, 3+, 4+, 5+, or 6+)
- Player Assists (1+ assist)

Goals and Assists
Two of the simplest Sure Sub markets cover attacking contributions.
Player to Score lets you back a player to find the net, while Player to Score or Assist provides two possible ways to complete the selection.
Gamdom also currently lists a separate Player 1+ Assists (sure sub) market.
These bets can be particularly productive for attacking players who regularly share minutes with other forwards.
Shots and Shots on Target
Gamdom offers several Sure Sub lines for player shooting statistics. Current shots on target markets include:
- Player 1+ shots on target
- Player 2+ shots on target
- Player 3+ shots on target
- Player 4+ shots on target
The sportsbook also offers higher-volume total shot markets, including 2+, 3+, 4+, 5+ and 6+ shots. Here, both on-target and off-target shots are counted.
Cards and Sending Off
Sure Sub is not restricted to attacking statistics. Gamdom currently offers Player to Be Carded and Player to Be Sent Off sure sub markets. These bets carry greater risk, as typically, there are fewer bookings than goals, but the rewards are greater when they win.
Sure Sub vs Regular Player Props Bets: Is the Protection Worth It?
Sure Sub gives bettors an extra route to a winning player prop, but the protection is not free.
Gamdom offers lower odds on Sure Sub selections than on the equivalent standard player market. In effect, bettors accept a smaller potential return in exchange for their wager transferring to the replacement if the selected player is substituted.
We compared current Gamdom prices across identical goalscorer and card markets to see how much that protection costs.
Anytime Goalscorer vs Sure Sub
Gamdom's Player to Score (Sure Sub) market is the protected version of its standard Anytime Goalscorer market.
Here are three like-for-like prices from the same match:

A $10 Haaland anytime goalscorer bet at 1.41 would win $14.10, whereas Sure Sub at 1.34 reduces that return to $13.40.
With Foden, the gap is wider. A $10 standard bet at 2.55 returns $25.50, compared with $23.30 at the Sure Sub price of 2.33.
So Sure Sub isn't simply an added bonus. Gamdom prices the additional substitution coverage into the market.
How Much Extra Chance Does Sure Sub Need to Add?
Another way to judge the value is through implied probability. Lower odds mean the Sure Sub bets must win more often to justify the lower price.

Note: These figures include Gamdom's betting margin, so they should not be treated as exact estimates of each player's real scoring chance.
For the Haaland example, the substitution protection effectively needs to add roughly 3.7 percentage points of additional winning potential to compensate for the difference between 1.41 and 1.34. For Semenyo, the gap is only around 1.9 percentage points.
That makes the relative value of Sure Sub dependent on both the price difference and how likely the player is to be substituted.
Sure Sub Card Markets vs Regular Card Bets
We found the same pricing pattern in Gamdom's player card markets.

Across these examples, Gamdom reduced the decimal odds by roughly 3% to 7% for the Sure Sub version.
The smallest gap was Bentley at 6.80 compared with 7.00. That is a relatively modest price to pay for the additional substitution coverage. At the other end, Pinnock dropped from 5.40 to 5.00, while Mason-Clark moved from 5.60 to 5.20.
When Can Sure Sub Offer Better Value?
There is no simple answer that Sure Sub is always better than the standard market. The strongest cases likely involve players with a realistic chance of being substituted, particularly forwards, wingers, and attacking midfielders who rarely complete 90 minutes.
The identity of the likely replacement matters too. If a goalscorer is regularly replaced by another dangerous striker, Sure Sub gives the bettor meaningful additional scoring coverage.
By contrast, paying shorter odds may be less attractive when backing a player who routinely plays the entire match. In that situation, substitution protection has relatively little chance of coming into play.
Also consider the size of the price difference. Paying 6.80 instead of 7.00 sacrifices relatively little compared with accepting 2.33 instead of 2.55.
Sure Sub Value Checklist
Before choosing between the two options, it is worth considering:
- How likely is the selected player to be substituted?
- When do they normally leave the pitch?
- Who is likely to replace them?
- Does the replacement regularly contribute to the same statistic?
- How much lower are the Sure Sub odds?
- Is the extra protection worth giving up the higher standard payout?
Sure Sub is therefore best viewed as a priced form of substitution protection, rather than an automatic upgrade to the normal player market.
For some selections, the difference in odds is small enough to make the extra coverage attractive. For others, particularly players expected to stay on the pitch for most or all of the match, taking the higher regular price may offer better value.
