Conor Benn shines in a dominant rematch win over Gamdom-sponsored Chris Eubank Jr. at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It wasn’t how the bookmakers called it, but Conor Benn produced a defining performance on Saturday night to defeat Chris Eubank Jr. in a one-sided rematch that brought closure to one of British boxing's most enduring family rivalries.

Fighting in front of a sold-out crowd at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 15 November 2025, Benn scored a unanimous decision victory with wide margins of 119-107, 118-108 and 116-110. The result avenged his only career loss and marked the first time a Benn defeated a Eubank inside the ring, settling a feud that spanned 35 years and two generations.

A British Boxing Rivalry Reignited

The Benn–Eubank saga began in the 1990s, when Conor's father, Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Sr. fought twice in iconic middleweight and super-middleweight bouts. Their 1990 clash ended in a stoppage win for Eubank Sr., and the 1993 rematch resulted in a split draw, leaving a trilogy bout forever elusive.

Decades later, the sons picked up the mantle. After a cancelled bout in 2022 due to Benn's failed drug test, they finally fought in April 2025, when Eubank Jr. prevailed via unanimous decision.

The April loss served as fuel for Benn, who entered the rematch with a renewed game plan and iron focus. This time, the stakes were personal and historical.

Benn's Tactical Brilliance

Despite moving up from welterweight to middleweight, Benn controlled the fight from the outset. Rehydration clauses were again in place, limiting both fighters to gaining no more than 10 pounds after weigh-in. While Eubank Jr. looked depleted and sluggish, Benn was explosive, sharp, and extremely composed.

From round one, Benn's sharper footwork and head movement set the tone. He avoided Eubank's jab and consistently landed crisp combinations. The middle rounds saw Benn shift from boxing to bullying, backing Eubank against the ropes and drawing cheers with taunts and confident body language.

Eubank Jr., by contrast, appeared flat throughout. Gone was the tenacity of their first meeting; instead, he offered little resistance as Benn accumulated round after round on the scorecards.

Climactic Final Round

The bout reached a dramatic climax in the 12th round. Benn floored Eubank with a clean left-right combination that sent him crashing to the canvas. Though Eubank beat the count, he was dropped again moments later under a flurry of punches. Only the final bell saved him from a stoppage defeat.

Benn drops Eubank Jr

The judges confirmed what had been clear throughout: Benn was the superior fighter. His win not only levelled their personal rivalry at 1-1, but also gave the Benn family its first taste of victory over a Eubank.

Emotional Post-Fight Reflections

In the aftermath, an emotional Conor Benn stood in the ring with his father Nigel, who lifted him in celebration. "This ends here," Benn said. "Everyone said I couldn't box. Put that in your pipe and smoke it."

He made it clear he had no interest in a trilogy, stating, "The saga is over. This wouldn’t have been what it was without Chris and without our dads."

Chris Eubank Jr. accepted the loss with dignity. "The kid fought hard. He was the better man tonight," he admitted. Whether Eubank will continue his career remains uncertain.

With the family rivalry settled, Benn now sets his sights on world title contention. He confirmed plans to return to welterweight, targeting WBC champion Mario Barrios and other high-profile names like Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney.

Saturday’s win was more than redemption; it was a legacy moment. In front of 65,000 roaring fans, Conor Benn didn’t just settle an old score; he carved his own path, proving that the next generation can rise from the shadows and into history.
