Sonic The Hedgehog is a long-serving videogame character that for many years ran as the iconic gaming figurehead for SEGA in answer to Nintendo's action-loving plumber Mario.
Sonic was created in 1991 and has, to date, sold in excess of 45 million videogames across many software releases on virtually all applicable gaming formats. He's also spawned masses of related merchandise, animated TV shows, and comics too.
