Even Microsoft can’t have anticipated just how absurdly popular Achievement points have become amongst Xbox 360 owners - how else does one explain that crummy Turtles game selling so well, or this writer spending an entire afternoon playing Guitar Hero II on the far-too-easy Medium setting, just to five-star every song for a lousy 30 points?

Anyway, in recognition of this obsession with Achievement collecting, geek gear site SplitReason has produced these tongue-in-cheek branded "Achievement Locked" undies for women.

They’re $13 (£6.50 / €10) a pop, and perfect for the gamer girl in your life. I’ve a gut feeling my own girlfriend would respond with an indifferent shrug and possibly even a curled, scornful upper lip if I were to present her with these, but then that’s the kind of gratitude you get for spending half a day playing Guitar Hero II. And to think I was doing it all for her.

Scroll down for more pictures of the pants "in action".
