A 'fare' few new screenshots have just been released for Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars, the exclusive PlayStation Portable version of SEGA's madcap cab-driving simulator. The title is expected to hit Sony's handheld this summer, with everything that made the originals great minaturised for gaming on the go.
Fare Wars, developed by Sniper Studios will feature faithful ports of the original Crazy Taxi title and its sequel, Crazy Taxi 2. Game modes on offer include everything from the classic single-player arcade experience to time trial and unlockable mini-game antics.
The original Crazy Taxi crashed into videogame arcades in 1999. Its success prompted SEGA to port the game to the Dreamcast, the machine that signified the company's last foray into the videogames hardware market. Crazy Taxi went on to sell a million copies on the Dreamcast and was later ported onto other consoles including the Sony PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube.
