The NERF Sports Pack

The NERF Sports Pack is essentially what you’d end up with if you locked Joytech’s Wii Sports Pack and Pelican’s NERF Wiimote sleeve in a sordid motel room, dimmed the lights, and threw on some Kenny G. [Your dry patch with the ladies is officially no longer a mystery - Ed]

This new spongy range of sporty Wiimote clip-ons is the handiwork of the aforementioned Pelican, and includes attachments in the shape of a tennis racket, a golf club, and a baseball bat.

It’ll be released at some stage over the next week or two for $34.99 (£17 / €26), and although we’re yet to get our hands on these squishy appendages, IGN has, and likes what it held: "The foam is […] decently heavy (particularly the baseball bat) which, coupled with the size of the attachments, actually yields a significantly different tactile effect than a naked Wiimote. […] The weight of the attachments offers a different, and in our opinion, more pleasurable feel to swinging the Wiimote in Wii Sports."

There we go, then - buy the NERF Sports Pack and swing away to your heart’s content, safe in the knowledge that your watching loved ones are protected from a fatal meeting between your Wiimote and their temple.
