For those who missed the news during E3, Wipeout’s unique brand of futuristic anti-gravity racing will be appearing on the PlayStation Network before the end of this year, and is set to feature a selection of the tracks from previous titles in the Wipeout family, all with a fresh lick of 1080p, 60-frames-per-second, next-gen paint.

There’ll be an option to use the SIXAXIS’ tilt sensors to navigate your ship, and all manner of online multiplayer modes for eight players. Will it replace F-Zero GX in the space in our hearts reserved for futuristic anti-gravity racers? Well, some new tracks would have been appreciated, but it has potential.
