Gone from Xbox for a while, but not forgotten.

After exploding (quite literally) onto Xbox Live Arcade and spawning a massive success from what was originally a mini-game in Project Gotham Racing, Geometry Wars will soon be heading for Nintendo and mobile platforms, but according to developer Bizarre Creations' community representative Ben Ward, the firm hasn't forgotten its roots.

When questioned about the future of the franchise on the Microsoft Xbox 360 by CVG, Ward began by explaining that Bizarre was keeping its cards close to its chest, reaffirming that the upcoming release of Geometry Wars: Galaxies means that it's in for a hectic time ahead. However, he then added: "So there's a lot going on... but that doesn't mean we've forgotten about the Xbox 360."

Whether that means an XBLA sequel is likely could be questionable, particularly since Galaxies is being touted as a full-price retail release at present. Still, GamerSquad is sure Xbox 360 owners wouldn't turn down any future opportunties for some more psychedelic shooting action.

GamerSquad will, of course, keep you posted.
