The PSP just got that little bit sexier!

Portable movie-watching bliss today with news that X-OOM Software, a division of leading publisher of digital media software and mobile devices, bhv Software, is about to unleash Movies on PSP 3 for your entertainment indulgence.

Movies on PSP 3 will arrive as the latest version of X-OOM’s best-selling software application, designed specifically to help users realise the true movie-watching potential of their PlayStation Portable handhelds.

X-OOM states that its Movies on PSP 3 software, "transfers DVD movies and TV shows onto the PSP easily and intuitively," by converting them into a choice of formats (DivX, XviD, Real, AVI, WMV, MPEG2, MPEG4, 3GP) that the host PSP understands. Users simply place a movie in their PC’s DVD drive, select the output format on Movies on PSP 3 and then hit ‘Start’. The movie is swiftly converted and delivered for playback on the PSP.

Helmut Schmitz, Managing Director at bhv Software says, "Sony’s PSP is an amazing mobile entertainment device. Combining it with X-OOM [Software’s] Movies on PSP 3 makes total sense as it unlocks its potential even more and offers the benefits of a mobile cinema so PSP fans can catch up with the latest season of 24 while stuck on the underground."

Movies on PSP 3 also offers up helpful editing options for the user in order to provide cut and backup functions so favoured scenes can be saved as new DVD discs or as separate video files. Movie scenes can even be cut from within the preview window while simultaneously converting other files.

Also, Movies on PSP 3 allows users to select different DVD scenes and sound channels to best suit personal or specific requirements, as well as offered users access to Expert Mode, which provides assistance in cutting and processing selected DVD and TV clips.

Finally, Movies on PSP 3’s newly integrated AVC-codec enables enhanced quality output at an improved rate of compression, duly guaranteeing an excellent Movies on PSP experience. And, the software’s Fit-to-Stick technology also resizes user files to sit comfortably on a utilised memory stick (256/512 MB etc.)

X-OOM Software’s Movies on PSP 3 is compatible with Windows 98/XP/ME/200 and is available at an SRP of £19.99 GBP from all good retail outlets – though it’s worth noting that Amazon.co.uk presently has it priced at £13,97 GBP, and Amazon.com has it for $29.99 USD.
