It's not unusual for games to get a darn good patching post-release, but The Witcher is due for the Mother of all Revamps. It will include an 80% reduction in load times, improved stability, a completely new English translation, 50 new character models, 100 new character animations and a re-jugged facial animation system, to name just a few. It's not like The Witcher was exactly terrible anyway - it's currently sitting on very healthy 81% Metacritic score - so two thumbs up to developers CD Projekt for wanting to make a good thing great.
If you don't already own the game, you'll be able to buy this Enhanced Edition for the same price as the old version. CD Projekt plan to chuck in few extras: a 'making of' DVD, two CDs of game music, a game guide, a short story and a map. There'll be a mod editor as well. Possibly a kitchen sink, too.
