Offside, surely?
As reported a few weeks back, the Speedball 2 remake has finally arrived on Steam. Absolutely no word on whether it's good, bad or indifferent and there's no demo to help you make up your own mind. It is, however, selling for 10% off until December 4th so you'll only have to stump up US$26.95 to find out if it's a brilliant revival or half-arsed hack job.
It does seem a little odd to be offering a discount on day of release - Steam often gives a discount for pre-orders, and then the price jumps back up on launch day. This leads us to think that either the game is so good that they want it as many hands as possible so that word of mouth can carry the day, or that it's a total dog and all donations will be gratefully accepted. We will continue to watch (and heckle) from the cheap seats...
