Gawd, Mondays are slow. While waiting for the gaming world to wake up and actually do something interesting, we've been whiling away the hours with the demo of Fantasy Wars. Despite being blessed with the most generic name in history, Fantasy Wars actually looks to be a worthwhile distraction. It's not likely to lure anyone away from their Xbox any time soon but if you're fond of turn-based strategy, you should at least considering hauling the 355MB demo down the pipeline. It's rather pretty for a turn-based game, though possibly a little oversaturated with colour - it gets a bit difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff when staring at a day-glo map for an hour or two. There's a very strong Heroes of Might and Magic V look to everything, which isn't entirely unwelcome.
It's crept on to our 'buy when it's cheap enough' list, and if the demo is any indication, would sit quite well with a rainy weekend, a packet of chocolate digestives and a nice cup of tea. Lovely.
