...and now the weather
While this isn’t overly exciting, but we thought you’d like to know about it anyhow. The Wii’s Weather Channel has finally gone live to all regions (or should be by the time you read this). As we said, not overly exciting.
We had a wii peek at it yesterday and it joyfully informed us that it was 4 degrees Celsius outside in the bitter cold. A quick zoom out to reveal the on-screen world globe in its entirety, a spin, and a zoom in to Australia’s Gold Coast revealed a delicious 27 degrees Celsius. Well, given that I’m leaving for the Gold Coast after Christmas, at least the Wii Weather Channel had some good news about it.
Although most people won’t be that fussed about this feature, it’s still pretty impressive. Sure, you can check the weather on Google in a flash, but it’s just so cute to be able to spin the globe and check the weather around the world—or maybe I’m having a really boring day (probably—Ed). You can also select icons that show you sunshine, rain, etc., or check out the current and top temperatures for each place. Go knock yourselves out.
