Oh stop teasing! Wii already love you!
Nintendo has released a series of ‘Wii Experience’ videos on the official Wii website. The videos were filmed around the world and show a cross section of people (we say “people” as some of them look plainly new to gaming) enjoying their first gameplay experience with the Wii console.
The great thing about these videos is probably the nice variation Nintendo has gone for in its chosen users, including young people, couples, older people, and the sweetest of all, an ancient Japanese couple playing golf together—which you simply must see, for its cuteness value alone.
Nintendo is doing a great job on the inclusive nature of the Wii, and just this morning a certain mother-in-law of a certain GamerSquad writer took an interest in the Wii when she spotted the video of the old couple playing golf, even going so far as to ask what it was for and when it’s available. This is just the kind of consumer reaction Nintendo is no doubt hoping for: that people who have previously displayed no interest in gaming whatsoever will want to give the Wii a go.
You can check out all of the Wii Experience videos at the official Nintendo Wii Experience website. Enjoy.
