Smooth Moves with the Wiimote - Bring it on!
Yes! The one we’ve all been waiting for finally gets a release date—and it isn’t March as was previously thought. Wario Ware: Smooth Moves will be available on the Nintendo Wii throughout Europe from 12 January 2007.
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves is the sequel to the hugely popular Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS series games. Wario Ware: Smooth Moves is the latest in the Wario Ware franchise, but this time it can make full use of the Wiimote! Featuring over 200 fast-paced and action-packed microgames, players are challenged to hone their reactions and use the Wiimote in an array of wonderful and wacky ways. Twisting the Wiimote this way and that, players must master positioning and movement of the controller to complete the challenges set against them. From the simple ‘Remote Control’ position to ‘The Elephant’ or ‘The Samurai’, manipulation of the Wiimote is a must to complete one task and move on to the next. With the time available to complete the challenge getting progressively shorter and shorter, accuracy is all-important!
Those familiar with the Wario Ware games will already know that each game only lasts a few seconds and requires the player to perform bizarre actions (this time with the Wiimote), such as sautéing vegetables, hula-hooping (by holding the Wiimote against your hip) and even slotting grandma’s teeth into her mouth—nice.
Personally, we can’t wait for this one; for some reason the games on the Wii that use the Wiimote to a better degree than simply turning it to one side always seem to be more fun.
