A spokesperson representing Nintendo UK has announced that "UK pricing will be in line with Japan and the US," when the new Wii videogames console hits European retail stores in Q4. The Wii will arrive at roughly the same price as that already revealed for both the US and Japanese regions, which should retail for USD 250 or less, and YEN 25,000 or less—amounting to GBP 120 and GBP 135 respectively. Of course, those initial figures should probably rise to around GBP 150 after the application of UK VAT, which is still an absolute steal in terms of focused next-gen gaming.
Nintendo has also stated that it hopes to ship some 6.0 million units of the Wii by the close of March 2007.
