As if snagging Solid Snake for Super Smash Bros. Brawl wasn’t impressive enough, Nintendo has managed to wangle a cameo from a certain Sonic the Hedgehog in the forthcoming Wii edition of the wildly popular fighting series. News of the hedgehog’s appearance in the game came from a Nintendo press conference earlier this week, where the above video was also shown off.

That’s the silver lining. The cloud? The game has been held back in Japan until 24th January, while a release date for western regions is still unknown.
