With a knick-knack, paddy whack, give a dog a Wii Remote...
If Animal Hospital was still on the telly box, we bet even Rolf Harris wouldn't have seen this one coming when a poorly pooch had been lifted onto the veterinary table.
A family in Loveland, Colorado took their dog to get some medical help after it had started to cough up blood, reports FunTechTalk. An X-ray revealed a large mass in the poor fella's stomach, something its owners assumed was an old TV remote they'd been letting their pet chew on. Chunks of the used zapper were present after the vet induced vomiting, but that wasn’t all. Owner Mary Becknell explains:
"The Vet started massaging the dogs belly and it just came flying out of the dog. I knew what it was right away by the colour and shape of it. It was my son's video game remote. The dog had swallowed the boy's Nintendo Wii remote controller."
Wii Remote accidents have been prevalent since the console's launch, but for the hundreds of black eyes and smashed windows, this is the first time we've heard of the thing being swallowed by either man or beast. Well, it does kind of look like a bone...
