WiiBay - Ungrateful kids cash in
This makes no sense to us, especially given if someone had a Wii they wanted to sell, surely pre-Christmas would have been the time to do it rather than waiting until after Christmas?
Anyway, apparently this is down to “money-mad teenagers” cashing in on hardware appeal. According to the Scottish Sun newspaper (bastion of the truth, honest, no sarcasm there at all) 500+ Nintendo Wii consoles found their way to listings on eBay mid-morning on Christmas day.
These kids apparently wasted no time in ripping open their presents, and instantly converting their Wiis into big money opportunity. Ah, children of the 21st century, they’re either heartless guttersnipes that believe money is more important than the love put into a great gift, or they’re all entrepreneurs of the highest order. Either way, it’s a little saddening to get an in-demand Wii on Christmas morning only to shove it onto eBay.
