Hey, developers. More like this on the DS, please.
Following the success of Ankh and Ankh: Heart of Osiris on the PC, XIDER Games and Daedalic Entertainment have announced that Assil, Egypt's most renowned delinquent, is to appear on the Nintendo DS in a brand new adventure, Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King.
There isn't really much to go on so far, but GamerSquad imagines that the title will be a pocket-sized point-and-click adventure much in the same vein as its PC-based counterparts. Unfortunately, the brilliant voice acting from the PC version is unlikely to appear on the DS due to memory constraints, but if the mix of puzzles and likeable characters remains intact, then we're all-for helping cheeky Assil and his chums out of another fine mess. And, of course, the DS stylus is just a perfect substitute for a PC mouse. Over to XIDER:
"Sun yourself in the sweltering Egyptian heat as you try to keep up with Assil, Thara, Pharaoh and Osiris: God of the Underworld in numerous exotic locations that include the beautiful bazaars and heady undergrowth of the Egyptian landscape. Solve the puzzles, guard the Ankh and become enthralled in the mysterious storyline whilst guiding Assil and his loveable friends along their way."
Oh, and speaking of Ankh, did we mention the fantastic competition we’re currently running? GamerSquad is offering 5 lucky readers the chance to bag of copy of Ankh: Heart of Osiris for the PC.
Hurry, the closing date for entries is July 31.
