Incur his wrath? No, we'll probably not chance it.
With 9 million subscribers, it’s fair to say that Blizzard’s World of Warcraft is a bit on the popular side – even to the extent that it’s received focused attention on mainstream media shows South Park and The Colbert Report. But then, you know, there are a lot of sad and lonely people on the planet, and levelling up character points would seemingly be a quest more worthy than actually living a ‘real’ life. We jest.
GamerSquad is in no position to dispute the facts or incite fanatical backlash, especially when WoW boasts such a ravenously committed MMORPG fan base… so committed in fact that they’d consider getting married (for real) in-world – come on, no one in their right mind upsets that level of crazy and expects to retain unassisted use of their kneecaps. But at least an in-world marriage ceremony means you can happily not invite the soon-to-be mother in law.
Point being, the entire PC-based following of World of Warcraft is now frothing uncontrollably at the prospect of getting their hands, paws, hooves, claws (delete as applicable by character class) on Blizzard’s newest game expansion.
Sadly however, “World of Warcraft: The Wrath of the Lich King” is still yet to be dated for official release. Existing currently as a tantalisingly out-of-reach extension to the sprawling WoW experience.
So, to make those saliva glands work overtime – to the point where your armour is growing rusty from the inside – GamerSquad thought it best to bring you a meaty slice of Lich King temptation, in the form of a developer interview from this year’s Blizzcon, as well as the official Lich King trailer, and some (kinda disappointing?) gameplay footage.
