A good looking PS3 title? Xbox 360, PC, or PS3...it's gonna be a no-brainer!
There’s little doubt that the PlayStation 3 will be comparable to the Xbox 360 in terms of performance, yet, the twelve month jump that Microsoft has stolen over Sony has led to many theories of the PS3 emerging as sadly underpowered. Naturally, the ever-faithful Sony fanboy contingent would likely scoff at such a claim. Would they be right to do so?
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Kameo: Elements of Power, and Just Cause have all pushed the next-gen envelope on behalf of the Xbox 360, while the PS3 hasn’t really shown what it can do, and those few games offering up trailer footage have been somewhat disappointing (Resistance: Fall of Man for example, which is being touted as a major player on the PS3 launch list).
Yet, here’s a sizeable slice of PlayStation 3 footage that may hush any nay-sayers while offering a truly impressive glimpse at the genuine power of Sony’s latest game system. Put aside your platform rivalry for the next seven minutes (as it will appear on Xbox 360 and PC) and enjoy the following in-game sequence from Midway’s new third-person shooter Stranglehold.
It’s Prince of Persia mixed with The Matrix and Max Payne, and does it ever look like fun!
Jump on the banister, sprint to the top of the stairs, leap to the lampshade and slo-mo kill everything that moves.
