Bungie’s recent Halo 3 announcements included a public multiplayer beta test, which is set for spring 2007—and open for registration to our North American readers—and also the unveiling of a brand new 60-second commercial that would air on Monday 04 December during ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
Well, it’s the 05 December folks, and the above ‘Starry Night’ commercial has duly aired. The Internet is a wonderful place and, as such, not being located in North America doesn’t mean that you cannot feast your eyes on Bungie and Microsoft Game Studio’s latest slice of tantalising Halo 3 temptation.
While the initial E3 2006 teaser for Halo 3 may well exist as the most emotive and impressive piece of gaming advertising in years (almost had me in tears—Ed), the new all-CGI commercial certainly packs an all-too brief punch.
There’s no actual gameplay on show in the commercial/trailer but Bungie has been quick to state that what you see in CGI you WILL be able to do and/or use in the final game—namely the rather sexy shielding grenade and the new snazzy-looking MA5B Assault Rifle.
And, if that’s not enough, then we’ve also bundled in a cool Halo 3 documentary—courtesy of the wonderful people at GameVideos.com.
