Duke Nukem Forever stopped being just a game years ago, and is now the longest running shaggy dog story in gaming history thanks to its 10 year (and counting) development time. Whenever the game is finally prised from 3D Realms' fingers, it's going to face an uphill battle to be judged fairly and on its own merits. Anything less than Crysis level graphics combined with TF2-meets-CoD4 gameplay is going to see Duke Nukem Forever labelled as a waste of time and effort.

A quick squint at the trailer, then, reveals what appears to be a very generic FPS that's already looking a bit old. There are a few tiny snippets of what might possibly be gameplay, or might just be pre-rendered footage. Who knows? Either way, it's all a bit of a non-event. Wake us up when the demo's out.
