We're still not sure, but the above video for Deadly Creatures leaves a distinct impression that the player will be able to control a scorpion, a snake or a variety of other skin-crawling nasties in brutal claw-to-claw combat. The visuals all seem to be pre-rendered, and therefore not indicative of how the final product will actually look or play, but the oddness of it all has grabbed our interest. Mongoose vs cobra, anyone? Elephant vs meerkat? Great White shark vs newborn kitten? Who knows, but this could be one of the most unusual - not to mention potentially tasteless and RSPCA wrath-inducing - games of 2008.
