Autobots... plug in the PlayStation!
If you're both a gaming fanatic and a massive Transformers lover, GamerSquad asks that you take just a moment to prepare yourself for the rest of this article. That's right, breeeeathe.
Just look at this little beauty that has been spotted at the Comic-Con International event that's currently being held in San Diego's Convention Center. Yep, it's an Autobot that transforms from a kick-ass robot into an actual Sony PlayStation 2 controller-alike (and back again).
As the upper body and arms are gorilla-esque, it most closely resembles the Optimus Primal figurine from the Beast Wars series, which was rolled out by Hasbro between 1995 and 1999. Part of the new Real Gear Robots line, the transforming controller it is set to hit the shops from next month - along with a whole host of other useful gadgets such as a watch and a digital camera.
Named "HIGH SCORE 100", the product blurb says he "has been made into a master martial artist by years of watching some of the most dangerous fighters in the known universe try their skill against one another. By careful observation, and copying their moves over and over again, he has reached a level of fighting skill previously unheard of among Transformers."
Unfortunately, the $6.99 USD Hasbro creation isn't a real working PS2 pad, but, hey, it's pretty cool all the same.
