Hey you with the overflowing wallet and more banknotes than brain cells - Surface Tension wants to divert your easily distracted attention towards its new Surface Tension Gaming Table a coffee table-cum-classic games emulator-cum-all-round PC that rather reminds us of that mysterious Surface device unveiled by Microsoft not so long ago.
Coming in at a not-to-be-sniffed-at £3,295 ($6,655 / €4,875), SurfaceTension's creation costs just a tad more than our trusty old 'Lack' table from Ikea, but then it does have the odd extra feature. As well as the screen on its surface and the joysticks and buttons on its side, the STGT lets you play classic games online with other people stupid rich enough to buy one of these (we bet the lobbies are packed), surf the Internet, play iTunes, watch movies, and place cups of coffee on it.
We'll steer clear for now though, thanks; aside from the horrific cost and poser-y, slightly pretentious nature of the thing, leaning over this day after day looks like being just the ticket for a spot of permanent spine
curvature. Fun!
