Simon Jeffery would be proud.
The SEGA Dreamcast might long be dead and buried as a commercially viable machine (although it still has a dedicated core of users), but that still leaves many millions of the machines all but redundant to their owners around the world. That is, unless you're 'flooky' from the web blog, Destructoid.
Behold the SEGA Dreamcast guitar, with a head lovingly crafted from the console itself as well as the once look-at-how-amazing-it-is-with-a-slot-for-the-VMU controller. The neck of the instrument, however, is just your bog standard guitar feature, not surprising since we doubt you could generate too much sweet, sweet music from a mess of old Dreamcast connecting cables. 'flooky' explains:
"It took about a week to make. I popped my soldering cherry with this guitar also lost my jigsaw virginity. bwahahaha. There’s only 3 strings because the others broke... Also I hear guys dig chicks with soldering iron burns."
Now, if it could just be tweaked to function with either Guitar Hero III or Rock Band, we'd be in so much awe. If not, we're sure it'd fetch a fair bit on eBay. Any takers?
