After a long wait and plenty of teasing along the way, Japanese firm Medicom Toys has announced that Metal Gear 4 fanatics will soon be able to get their hands on 1/6-scale models of Rah Raiden and Solid Snake.

Raiden's body is articulated (any visible joins hidden by his body suit), while he sports a pair of sheaths for his blades, one of a katana and the other for his 'carbon' dagger. Solid Snake, meanwhile, is fine re-creation of his virtual self, with impressively detailed work having gone into his body armour and harness.

For the price you're going to have to fork out for both characters, you'd expect a lot of time and effort to have gone into them an' all. Each will burn a 20,790 Yen (approximately $180 USD) hole in your pocket. Ouch!

According to ToysREVIL, Medicom Toys will begin selling Raiden  and Snake from January 2008 and Spring 2008 respectively. Best start hoarding those pennies, then.
