The word is that Apple might be moving a little more vigorously into mobile gaming. Trademork report that Apple recently applied to have the Apple trademark protected on practically anything that might be considered a portable gaming device. It doesn't mean that some kind of 'iBoy' is due to hit the streets tomorrow - Apple are probably just indulging in a spot of corporate loin-girding - but the idea of dedicated gaming device employing iTouch technology and wrapped in Apple's dribble-inducing design is something we'd be very interested in. After all, despite owning a DS with a healthy game collection, Peggle on the iPod is still our first stop for portable procrastination. Apple will need more than a handful of casual games to make a dent in the portable gaming market, but if anyone can do it, they can. Might be a few frowny faces in DS and PSP land this morning...
