Expectation rating: sky high.
Ubisoft has announced the creation of another Tom Clancy franchise currently being developed. Air Combat is the latest in a growing line of titles backed by the North American author, best known for penning political thrillers.
Set in the near future, the game imagines a world where a private military force has accumulated such power that it attacks the USA. Players will assume the role of highly trained pilots in advanced fighter jets on a mission to help defend the Land of the Free. As the adventure progresses, players will be tasked with greater challenges and a number of difficult decisions.
“We are confident that this new brand will become the new benchmark for flight combat games and will be, like other Tom Clancy based games, an instant online multiplayer hit,” says Sebastien Delen, managing director of Ubisoft’s Bucharest studio. “The player will experience all the action and excitement of modern air combat, from intense dog fighting to tactical strikes.”
Sounds good, Ubi. Don't let us down now.
