Hurry up with the killer apps, PS3!  (Credit: will hybrid)

Sony Computer Entertainment America has today announced its 2007 second-quarter software line-up for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Store. And while there's a fine selection of would-be hit titles amongst those on the list, the worrying sign is that the majority of them aren't PlayStation 3 games - the format that is in desperate need of big hitters for Sony more than any other.

“Our second-quarter line-up of PS3, PSP and PlayStation 2 software titles demonstrates a continued commitment from both SCEA and third-party developers to the PlayStation family of products,” said Peter Dille, Senior Vice President of Marketing, SCEA. “We are excited by the content being developed by our partners, but are also looking forward to launching PlayStation-branded exclusive games created by our own worldwide studios this quarter and throughout the rest of 2007.”

And as far as many gamers and industry insiders are concerned, those first party and exclusive assets couldn't come fast enough.

Over a hundred new titles will be released for Sony platforms this spring, but the company has made a list of what it considers the juiciest picks from the bunch:

PlayStation 3

· F.E.A.R.
· Spider-Man 3
· Ninja Gaiden Sigma

PS2 has better releases than the PS3 and PSP! HAHAHA What a joke! I wonder how the idiots that spent 2000 bucks for the PS3 feel now? I hope they are enjoying Fall of Man because that is going to be the only game worth playing for the next year! HAHAHAHA
