Those bills won't pay themselves in between filming. (Credit: bulent yusef) SEGA has today confirmed that it is working with developer Edge of Reality on the newest home videogame adaptation to feature the world’s best-known green-skinned beast... no, not Chris Leigh with alcohol poisoning... The Incredible Hulk.
The news follows a chat between Edge of Reality's Mark Nau and Gamasutra, in which Nau explained that the firm were working on a title with both SEGA and Marvel, one he described as a "big opportunity." Amaze Entertainment is being lined up for the game's handheld version of the same game.
The newest Incredible Hulk film will be released in cinemas in June 2008, so there's a long time yet before gamers get to cause masses of havoc in metropolitan environments as the powerful comic book character, first unleashed by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1962. GamerSquad has a feeling that the U.S. Army and police forces are already in preparation for bouts of long, unpaid overtime.
The last Hulk-inspired videogame, 2005’s The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction was (somewhat surprisingly, considering the release of so many forgettable Marvel-based efforts) a very enjoyable experience, so we've high hopes for the Hulk's first next-generation outing.
It better be good, y'know? You don't want to make GamerSquad angry. You wouldn't like us when we're angry.
(Didn't see that one coming - Ed)
