From Microsoft, with love. xxx
Microsoft has finally stepped from the corporate shadows and broken its silence concerning yesterday’s abrupt bout of Xbox 360 ‘bricking’ following the automatic download of Xbox Live’s Autumn Update.
Offering some 85 separate function tweaks an improvements, the Autumn Update was welcomed by all, and has since been appreciated by most. According to Microsoft, 99% of those downloading the update have experience no problem whatsoever, with the poor 1% suddenly being lumbered with a next-gen console that’s only good for using as a doorstop.
"A small percentage of consoles were affected negatively by the fall update (less than one percent have reported issues)," commented Microsoft after complaints began appearing on the Net throughout Monday. "We’re working with those affected to get them back up and running, whether that be by providing another console or fixing their existing console. We’re committed to resolving this issue."
Microsoft’s marketing team’s GamerScore Blog has outlined that the American software behemoth hopes to have the bricking error ironed out over the course of the next 24 hours.
So, if you’re presently propping open doors with your now useless Xbox 360, feel free to drop Mr. Microsoft a line and announce your disgruntled inclusion in that unlucky 1%.
