Hold your fire for a little longer, soldier.
The release of Richard Garriot's Massively Multiplayer Online sci-fi game, Tabula Rasa, has been pushed back slightly in order for a number of issues in its development to be fixed. Instead of the originally intended launch date of October 19, it'll now arrive on November 02.
"Many of you have heard my mantra for game development: 'Stable, Fast, Fun'. In that order. We need a little more time to make that happen,” Long said in a statement. “This short but critical amount of time will give us time to address several issues including stability and balance as well as allowing our players to test the continent of Ligo (L38+) and our major changes to crafting for a few weeks rather than a few days.
Long added that both his staff and beta testing community agreed with the delay, and since it's only a matter of weeks, we're sure not too many gamers will be overwhelmingly disappointed either. If it saves the need to download dozens of massive patches, we're all for it too.
