Getting eeeeven bigger soon?
If rumours are to be believed, World of Warcraft developer Blizzard is to use next month's BlizzCon event as a platform to announce the second expansion to its hugely popular Massively Multiplayer Online game - an opening up of the continent of Northrend.
The speculation is based on a leaked music sheet with scores named Northrend 1, 2, and 3, which are to be played by the Video Games Live orchestra at BlizzCon this year.
WoWinsider reports that said compositions have not appeared in World of Warcraft, Warcraft III or Burning Crusade, leading it to believe that unless they're older pieces from the first Warcraft strategy games, then it could be the closest confirmation so far that the newest expansion to the gigantic online world is well on the way.
Northrend appeared in Warcraft III and its add-on The Frozen Throne, however, it is inaccessible in the newest World of Warcraft build. Publisher Vivendi has refused to comment on the Northrend rumour, but with BlizzCon taking place on August 03 and 04, the game's 9 million subscribers haven't got long to wait to see if there’s any truth behind the gossip.
