The Worst Bits of Great GamesNew Sony guide tells journos how t...

Something’s escaped…

This probably won’t be the best news Rockstar hears all year, but an early PlayStation 2 build of Manhunt 2 has appeared online, courtesy of Team Slonik. It’s currently unknown how the leakage occurred, though the leaked game is supposedly an early beta version of the title, before it was submitted to censors (and subsequently banned by many countries).

News of the leak came about via Projectmanhunt.com, and clips of the title being played quickly started to appear on video site YouTube. Said clips have since been disabled, though the leaking of Rockstar’s controversial game could land the company in very hot water indeed, especially after the Hot Coffee saga.

Naturally, GamerSquad doesn’t need to remind its discerning readership that downloading games is a Very Naughty Thing; those of you who are simply too curious for your own good will just have to wait until October 31, when a revised version of Manhunt 2 will hit US stores. The uncut version will be released in Holland (and so far, only Holland) on the same day, for those who want to see what the non-Dutch world is missing out on.

Make the jump for the team's notes.
