She's cute - Veronica Mars would never make that mistake
Oops. You know how stars, whenever they’re on a press junket, are always told not to reveal info about upcoming episodes/movies that might not have been released? Well, the same rule must not apply to actors providing voiceover work in videogames, because Kristen Bell (a.k.a. Veronica Mars—who we think is pretty cool) has let slip a huge plot spoiler concerning Ubisoft’s upcoming action-stealth title Assassin’s Creed.
Attention: Read no further unless you want to know apparent plot details about the game, which may well spoil it for you when and if you play it.
Ms. Bell stated in an interview with IGN TV that the narrative history of Assassin’s Creed is, “sort of based on the research that's sort of happening now, about the fact that your genes might be able to hold memory.” Oh, interesting, and here we all were thinking it was just some Knights Templar thing.
Ms. Mars—erm Bell—went on to say that, “you could argue semantics and say it's instinct, but how does a baby bird know to eat a worm, as opposed to a cockroach, if its parents don't show it [how]? And it's about this science company trying to, Matrix-style, go into people’s brains and find out an ancestor who used to be an assassin, and sort of locate who that person is."
So, it seems there’s more to Assassin’s Creed than the trailers thus far released would have us believe—it actually sounds more interesting now, don’t you think?
