SkillGround FTW!

Within gaming you'd likely think there's nothing more satisfying than 'pwning' your buddies in a competitive online session of whatever genre of game takes your multiplayer fancy. Yet, while we hate to prove you wrong, there is something more satisfying... and that is proving your l33t skills while topping up your bank balance at the same time.

Coincidentally, that's just what our good friends over at SkillGround are offering, and if you haven't yet checked the service out, now would be a very good time indeed.

On June 28, between 1pm and 10pm Eastern Time, the site will be holding its $20,000 All-Out War event, where gamers from across the globe will compete for thousands of dollars in cash and SkillGround Game Credits.

To have a chance of getting your mitts on a chunk of the prize pool, all you have to do is sign up as a member of SkillGround, then slaughter as many players as you possibly can in "WarPath", the site's futuristic first-person shooter. Every kill you rack up during the contest period entitles you to a single entry into a random draw for one of 100 cash prizes - a system that ensures that even so-called n00bs have a chance of winning. Of course, the better you are, the higher your chances of nabbing some serious dosh...

So that's June 28, between 1pm and 10pm ET, got it?

There are a total of 100 cash prizes (each, a "Prize"), with an aggregate value of $10,000 USD, available to be won in the contest:

*1 cash prize of US $1,500.00
*1 cash prize of US $1,000.00
*1 cash prize of US $500.00
*7 cash prizes of US $250.00 each
*15 cash prizes of US $100.00 each
*25 cash prizes of US $75.00 each
*25 cash prizes of US $50.00 each
*25 cash prizes of US $25.00 each

Cash prize selected entrants will be announced on www.skillground.com the day following the event.
