Play 20 songs on Expert without missing a note? We'll see you in 2032.
Remember Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock? Y’know, the music game due out later this year that isn’t Rock Band? Well, a list of 59 achievements for the Xbox 360 version just popped up on the official Achievements site, revealing which obstacles virtual axe-wielders will have to overcome to earn all of the 1,000 Achievement Points on offer in the fourth Guitar Hero title.
There’s some real toughies there as well, with points on offer for playing 20 of the game’s songs on Expert without dropping a single note (HAHA), for winning 500 online ranked matches, for notching up a mammoth 2,000 note streak in the game’s Co-op mode, or for scoring an obscenely large total of 100,000,000 points in the Career Mode. That last one’s a joke, right Neversoft? Has to be. We'll be arthritic by 34 (or 44 for Stevie).
Completing the Career mode using both Lefty and Righty settings bags you the "Hendrix Reborn" achievement, and the "Buy A Guitar Already" achievement is earned by finishing the Career Mode on hard with a standard controller. Sounds… fun. There’s three secret Achievements also, though they’ll probably be some way beyond our underwhelming fret-fiddling abilities as well. Sigh.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is due out this Autumn, on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and PlayStation 2.
