More war? Yes please.
Electronic Arts' Jim Vassella has revealed in-depth details of the firm's first Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars expansion pack, Kane's Wrath, in Episode 1 of its Battlecast Prime Time show.
Vassella begins by outlining the add-on's plot, explaining that Kane's Wrath centres around the rise of Nod following the second Tiberium war. It will also take players on a journey through the third Tiberium conflict and beyond. "The game and campaign will feature our high definition cinematics once again and of course feature Joe Kucan reprising his role as Kane," he explains. "And we'll also be introducing a few new characters for him to mingle with."
The producer goes on to detail what is called the global domination meta-game, described as a concept like the board game Risk but "on steroids, supporting the C&C fiction with Ion Cannons and Mammoth tanks." Players will be able to journey across the entire game world before descending into military madness when two armies collide.
If that isn't enough, the expansion will also feature brand new units, upgrades and powers, as well as structures for each of the core factions. Vassella concludes by confirming the addition of 24 new multiplayer maps and the Radio Interface feature, allowing Microsoft Xbox 360 users to manage their base from wherever on the map they may be.
