BioShock is due for a darned good patching sometime next week. The game's community website, Cult of Rapture, has informed the world that both the Xbox 360 and PC versions will be getting a lick of paint that will include a proper widescreen mode. You might recall a lot of high-pitched internet squealing about the lack of 'proper' widescreen, even though the game's original field of view was specifically designed to enhance the claustrophobic atmosphere of the game. Just as well games aren't art, isn't it? Maybe one day we'll get the colourised version of Citizen Kane we've all been waiting for...
There's also some free downloadable content coming out alongside the patch that will include some lovely new plasmids to play with. Happy now?
