More of this in the not too distant future? Mmmm.
Given that the Microsoft Xbox 360's Bioshock has been dubbed as one of the most brilliantest, bestest videogames ever over the past couple of weeks, it's only natural that its developer and publisher Take-Two is already talking sequels, reports Shacknews.
In a recent conference call with analysts, Take-Two's chairman Strauss Zelnick explained that the firm had plans to release a new Bioshock title "roughly" every two years. He noted the similar, successful bi-annual outings of Grand Theft Auto iterations and the fact that Bioshock was "shaping up to be a very important franchise."
"I don't want to say more than that about BioShock because I certainly don't want to jinx it, but I feel awfully good about where that's going," Zelnick added.
In related news, Take-Two has revealed that its exclusive Sony PlayStation 3 title, the action-detective adventure L.A Noire, has been delayed until during the company's 2009 fiscal year which starts in November 2008. Bummer.
Still, a new Bioshock every couple of years? Yes please!
