Mmmmmm....
We’ve featured many a mods on GamerSquad, from the ugh-you-can-see-where-the-paint's-missed-a-bit to the oh-my-god-that-is-just-sublime. Mr. Ramon of Ultimate DS' recent build is much closer to the 'sublime' end of the spectrum.
It’s a Nintendo Wii that has been blessed with the Metroid Prime-themed makeover, a job which began with tireless hours of colour mixing to achieve the perfect hues to reflect Samus' outfit - a metallic silver for the logo, golden orange for the base and an intense red coating for the console itself.
There's also yellow-green LEDs fitted onto the machine and inside the Wii Remote, each reflecting Samus' being in some way or another. Best of all, there's a concealed battery charged in the base of the stand in order to power your controllers up after a bout of intense gaming.
The mod is being auctioned on eBay, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Penny Arcade's Child's Play children's hospital charity.
It really does look lovely.
