The Microsoft Xbox 360's underwater first-person shooter Bioshock is a game of undeniable quality, which is why we're not surprised that rumour has been rife about ports to other platforms (particularly the Sony PlayStation 3) since its launch.

However, CVG reports that a 2K Games representative has (not for the first time it seems) completely quashed any doubt over whether Bioshock will lose its Xbox 360 exclusivity with the following post on the firm's message boards in reply to a question asking as much:

"Please don't tell me you made an account just for this question... There will be no PS3 version of BioShock. It has been explained time and time again."

So, are they're saying there won't be a PS3 version of Bioshock? Yes, we think so.
