Andrew McCarthy

A gamer since the early 1990s after one day being introduced to a plundering plumber on Nintendo's first home console, Andrew Macarthy has developed a love for videogaming in its many forms. His favourite ever titles include Super Mario 64, Tetris (on which his university dissertation was based) and the utterly addictive Kuru Kuru Kururin.

In the middle of studying for his BA Media Studies degree in 2005, as well as contributing to campus and citywide publications, Andrew began volunteering as a journalist for Ferrago, (now play.tm) and continues to contribute to the site regularly with previews, news and the odd opinion piece.

When not hunched over his PC devouring the latest industry news, amongst other things Andrew enjoys playing guitar, hopelessly following Swansea City FC and, uh, balancing pebbles.

Chris Leigh

Mancunian scribbler Chris has been writing about games for almost half a decade, and combines GamerSquad duties with editing Aussie site PALGN. He counts Pilotwings 64, Sega Rally, Metal Gear Solid, Transport Tycoon, Ico, and the Pro Evolution Soccer titles amongst his favourite games of all time, and is currently fostering an unhealthy Tetris obsession.

Away from gaming, Chris is a keen Manchester United fan, an avid follower of cricket (and in particular his home county of Lancashire), and a hopeless gadget freak.
